Before You Book

The questions people often wish they’d asked first.

Professional cleaning should reduce stress. These are some of the issues that can make customers disappointed when expectations aren’t clear.

“Will they actually clean everything I expect?”

Different companies can mean very different things by standard clean, deep clean or full clean.

Housewell agrees the service level and scope first.

“Am I going to get charged extra afterwards?”

Unexpected extras are frustrating when you thought they were already part of the clean.

We aim to clarify the work before confirming your booking.

“What if they rush the house?”

A heavily soiled home shouldn’t be squeezed into a maintenance-clean booking.

We separate standard cleaning from the Housewell Reset.

“What if some rooms get missed?”

Customers notice when one room looks excellent while another barely seems touched.

A clear agreed scope helps keep the whole job in focus.

“Will I have to clean again afterwards?”

Paying for cleaning and then having to finish obvious work yourself defeats the purpose.

The right level of service matters from the beginning.

“Who do I contact if I have a question?”

Customers shouldn’t have to work out who is responsible for their cleaning booking.

Your booking relationship is with Housewell.

Cleaning Prices Cork

Prices & quotes

Common questions about cleaner costs and how Housewell pricing works.

How much does a cleaner cost in Cork?

Housewell standard one-off house cleaning starts from €85, while qualifying recurring cleaning starts from €75. Deep cleaning through the Housewell Reset starts from €219.

The final quote depends on the property size, condition and cleaning scope rather than assuming every home requires the same amount of work.

Why does Housewell use “from” prices?

Two three-bedroom homes can require very different amounts of cleaning. Bathrooms, kitchens, pets, occupancy, property condition and the amount of built-up dirt can all change the workload.

The starting price gives you a useful guide while still allowing the final quote to reflect the actual property.

Will I know the price before the clean?

Yes. Housewell confirms the agreed scope and quote before the booking is confirmed. If additional information is required, we may ask questions or request photographs first.

What if the property is much dirtier than expected?

Tell us as much as possible when requesting the quote. If the property has significant build-up, it may need a Housewell Reset rather than standard house cleaning.

The goal is to book the correct service rather than discover halfway through that a maintenance clean was never realistic for the condition of the property.

Do cleaning prices change depending on where I live in Cork?

Housewell pricing is primarily based on the property and the cleaning work required. Location can affect availability, but we do not simply price a normal home differently because it happens to be in one Cork suburb rather than another.

House Cleaning Cork

Standard & one-off house cleaning

What is included in a standard house clean?

Standard house cleaning is intended for homes that are already in generally maintained condition. It typically focuses on the agreed everyday cleaning areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, floors, accessible surfaces and general dusting.

It is not designed to absorb hours of built-up grime or highly detailed restoration-style cleaning.

Can I book a one-off cleaner in Cork?

Yes. Housewell provides one-off house cleaning for customers who want professional help without committing to a weekly or fortnightly schedule.

One-off standard house cleaning starts from €85.

What’s the difference between a one-off clean and a deep clean?

A one-off standard clean is suitable when the property is generally maintained but needs a professional refresh. A deep clean is for built-up dirt, grime, dust and detail work that requires considerably more attention.

Do I have to clean before the cleaner arrives?

You do not need to clean the house first. However, removing unnecessary clutter and making the areas being cleaned reasonably accessible allows the team to spend more of the booked service actually cleaning.

Will Housewell move heavy furniture?

Heavy furniture is not normally moved as part of standard cleaning. Accessible areas can be cleaned, and specific furniture-moving requirements should be discussed before the booking.

Deep Cleaning Cork

The Housewell Reset

What is deep cleaning?

Deep cleaning goes beyond maintaining the visible everyday surfaces of the home. It is designed to tackle accumulated dirt, dust, grease, grime, edges, corners and detailed areas that are often missed during routine cleaning.

How much does a deep clean cost in Cork?

Housewell Reset guide pricing starts from €219 for a one-bedroom property, €259 for two bedrooms, around €299 for three bedrooms, around €369 for four bedrooms and from €449 for five-bedroom and larger homes.

How do I know if I need a deep clean instead of standard cleaning?

You are more likely to need a Housewell Reset when there is significant build-up around skirting boards, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, frames, floors, corners, fittings or other areas that haven’t received detailed cleaning for some time.

If you’re unsure, tell us about the home’s condition when requesting your quote.

Is oven cleaning included in the Housewell Reset?

Yes. Internal oven cleaning is included within the Housewell deep-clean scope.

Is the inside of the fridge and freezer included?

Yes. Internal fridge and freezer cleaning is included within the standard Housewell Reset scope.

Are cupboards cleaned inside?

Yes. Internal cupboard and cabinet cleaning is included within the Housewell Reset where the areas are accessible for cleaning.

Are internal windows included in a deep clean?

Yes. Internal windows, accessible sills and tracks are included within the standard Housewell Reset cleaning scope.

Recurring Cleaning Cork

Weekly & fortnightly cleaning

Does Housewell offer weekly cleaning in Cork?

Yes. Weekly recurring cleaning is available for qualifying homes subject to local capacity and availability.

Can I book fortnightly cleaning?

Yes. Fortnightly cleaning is another option for customers who want regular support without a weekly visit.

Why is recurring cleaning cheaper than a one-off clean?

Homes that are cleaned regularly are generally easier to maintain because dirt and grime have less opportunity to build up between visits. Housewell recurring cleaning therefore starts from €75.

Should I have a deep clean before starting recurring cleaning?

Not always. If the property is already in good maintained condition, recurring cleaning may be suitable immediately. Where significant build-up exists, beginning with a Housewell Reset can provide a stronger starting point for ongoing maintenance.

Do recurring customers get a discount?

Qualifying repeat customers can benefit from Housewell Rewards, with 5% off the second qualifying clean, 7.5% off the third and 10% from the fourth qualifying clean onward, subject to the programme terms.

Moving & Rental Cleaning Cork

Move-out, end-of-tenancy & property handovers

What’s the difference between move-out cleaning and end-of-tenancy cleaning?

Housewell uses move-out cleaning primarily for homeowners and sellers leaving privately owned properties. End-of-tenancy cleaning is aimed at rental properties where tenants, landlords, letting agents or checkout requirements are involved.

Does Housewell provide end-of-tenancy cleaning in Cork?

Yes. Housewell provides end-of-tenancy cleaning for rental properties across the areas we cover in Cork.

Can Housewell help me get my rental deposit back?

Professional cleaning can help you leave the property in better condition, but Housewell cannot guarantee the return of a rental deposit because deposit decisions can depend on the tenancy agreement, property condition, damage and the landlord or agent’s assessment.

Does the property need to be empty for move-out cleaning?

An empty or mostly empty home usually provides much better access to floors, cupboards, edges, corners and areas previously hidden by furniture. Tell us your moving arrangements when requesting the quote.

Are the oven, fridge, cupboards and internal windows included in move-out cleaning?

Yes. These detailed internal areas are included within Housewell’s standard move-out deep-cleaning scope.

Specialist Cleaning Cork

After-builders, commercial & property cleaning

Does Housewell provide after-builders cleaning in Cork?

Yes. Housewell provides after-builders and post-renovation cleaning for properties following construction, extensions, refurbishment and renovation work.

Why isn’t after-builders cleaning given one fixed price?

The workload can vary dramatically. One renovated bathroom and an entire refurbished house may have completely different dust levels, floor areas, surfaces and post-construction residue.

For that reason, after-builders cleaning is individually quoted around the actual project.

Do you remove construction rubbish and rubble?

Standard after-builders cleaning focuses on cleaning rather than bulk construction-waste removal. Large quantities of rubble, timber, plasterboard or building waste should normally be removed before the final cleaning stage or discussed separately.

Does Housewell provide commercial cleaning in Cork?

Yes. Housewell can quote cleaning for offices, workplaces, communal areas and other commercial properties. Commercial pricing depends on the size of the premises, required cleaning scope and frequency.

Do you provide cleaning for landlords and property managers?

Yes. Housewell provides property cleaning for landlords, rental properties, letting-related requirements and property handovers, as well as recurring or individual property-cleaning requirements where suitable.

Before the Cleaner Arrives

Practical booking questions

Do Housewell cleaners bring cleaning products and equipment?

Your quote and booking confirmation should make clear what Housewell will provide for the selected service. If there are specific products, surfaces or equipment requirements at your property, let us know beforehand.

Can I be at home while the cleaners are working?

Yes, although giving the team clear access to the rooms being cleaned can make the process easier. You do not necessarily need to remain at the property throughout the entire clean if suitable access arrangements have been agreed.

What if I have pets?

Pets are not automatically a problem. Tell us before the booking so we understand the household and can discuss any access or safety considerations.

How long does house cleaning take?

It depends on the property size, condition and service level. A standard maintained-home clean takes substantially less time than a detailed Housewell Reset or after-builders clean.

Rather than promising the same duration for every home, Housewell matches the cleaning scope to the property.

What should I do if there is something particularly important I want cleaned?

Tell us before the booking. If there is a specific room, area or task that matters to you, it is much better to include it in the agreed scope than assume the team will know it is your priority.

What if I need to change or cancel my booking?

Contact Housewell as soon as possible. Any applicable booking or cancellation terms should be confirmed as part of your booking process.
